I was introduced to this book when I worked at my high school day care, it instantly became one of my favorites. The copy you might be familiar with is a thin Little Golden Book, this copy I have here has been updated into a pop-up book.
So clever!
And what's not to love about grover? He is my all time favorite muppet, horrible grammar, shaggy fur and all. I remember one time when I was little, a friend of mine told me grover had died.
I was devastated.
Until I found out that that wasn't true.
Anyways, I just love this book so much I thought I'd share it with you.
Along with this video:
And just as a tidbit of more info, did you know this existed? It's amazingly fun to waste time looking up muppets and the humans that perform them. You'd never guess some of those people could make such cute voices! And it's so neat to finally be able to see pictures of how muppets work, like on this page.
Now go to, and waste time!
Grover was always my favorite as a kid (and this book!) I still have my original book! But it looks like a Monster has been READING it! :)
ReplyDeletei will always love sesame street and they've been most instrumental in keeping up my children's english, especially their fun website! love your love for books!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun book.
ReplyDeleteBut what is this about people operating them??? Muppets are real aren't they?
Lol. x.
This book has been a favorite at our house for over 16 years. So much so that we have had to purchase it several times to replace a torn one. But I did not know they had a lift the flap version!! I love it!! I will have to get on the web and find it for my DD 18th B-day!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute book! I'm going to have to see if it's at the library because my kids would love it! (And so would I!)
