Pretty green thing

I went to a ward swap recently.  This is where everyone brings what they don't want anymore, and then grabs what does look useful.  It's all free, and then the left overs get sent to charity.
It was great.

I've been wanting to pretty up my wardrobe recently.  More specifically my blouses.  As in, I had none.  After baby # 2 was born I was so excited to pull out my pre-baby shirts and look a little more hip again when I realized that really, truly, all I had was boxy t-shirts.

So my goal was to go pick up a few blouses.  It didn't matter what size, or if it it was wonky, I planned on altering as needed.  The only rule was that it had to be feminine.  It's was fun to shop with a new rule.

Anyways, that kind of got off topic, what I wanted to post about was this pretty little green bowl I found.

When I saw it I couldn't help but pick it up.  It's a little bowl.  It's green.  It's glass.  It's pretty.  I think the little girl in me that is still interested in princess crowns jumped out and threw it in my bag, because somehow it got brought home.

It wasn't until a few days later when I happened to be looking at it from across the room that I noticed that not all of the little indentions on the scallops were the same.... wait... what?  They aren't chipped are they?  No...

Okay, I was a little embarrassed with myself.  So it took me a few days to realize that I had brought home an ash tray ok?  I still think it's pretty, and I'm keeping it.

I'll put buttons in it or something....

I have a little bowl on my dresser for my watch and the earrings I wear every day. This would be perfect for that. I love the colour too!

Hahahaha! The funny part is finding out, when you're all alone and it dawns on you! I wish I could have seen your face...I've seen it on my own face! Like everyone is saying, Becka, it's what you want it to be, like a recycled item made into something better.

Put some of your little creations in it and make it their pretty boat with oars in their hands and a sail. ;O)
