Handmade for Haiti Project

The illustrations for our Haiti books are coming along great!

We are working closely with StephanieVictor, president of Abundant Ground Foundation,
to make sure these illustrations are culturally sensitive.

{These dolls come from a similar project headed up by Sarah at Dolly Donations}

We want the illustrations to install a sense of hope
and a positive outlook for the future.

Once the illustrations are all complete and our storyboard/text flows nicely together,

we will print the illustrations and assemble them into sturdy books

The books will then be sent off to find new homes for the fifty children of the Croix des Bouquets orphange, ages 2-6 years old.

If you are interested in sewing a book together (each book takes about an hour to cut-out and sew together in the plastic sleeves), just leave a comment here or email me at madebybedtimetales [at] gmail [dot] com

We'd love to have the help!

Wow! I think it's fabulous you're doing this for Haiti. So amazing. Following your blog, visiting from SITS.

Bright colorful books- AND they're for a good cause? Nice work SITSs friends! I have an 11 month old so I'm searching for something for him. Cheers!

Ok CK - this months' sewing group is done, I can now think of next months. I'll email you about it. Would love to help you make as many as we can.
